As of August 27, 2026, this Iran Caustic Soda price report covers thirteen production, seaport and overland handover hubs with FOB/FCA planning indications from USD 305–720/MT. The strongest direct public anchors remain USD 630/MT FCA for NaOH flakes 98–99% and USD 315/MT FCA for liquid NaOH 48–50% at the CCPC site, while an active marketplace indication shows USD 470–500/MT FCA for 98% flakes at Ramhormoz. Current route evidence supports Bandar Abbas, Bandar Anzali, Bandar Amirabad, Bandar Nowshahr, Sarakhs, Shahid Motahari Terminal, Bazargan, Jolfa, Mehran and Shalamcheh. Final execution still requires an RFQ because packaging, dangerous-goods handling, carrier acceptance, insurance, terminal availability and shipment timing can materially change the executable price.

Iran Caustic Soda Hub Price Map
Map labels show the representative midpoint for Caustic Soda Flakes 98–99%. All values are USD/MT.
Methodology and Commercial Scope
Hub verification
Each location must have current product-specific evidence for caustic-soda production, an FOB seaport route or an FCA production, terminal or border handover. Ramhormoz remains because an active international offer still shows FCA Ramhormoz for 98% flakes. Bandar Nowshahr remains because CCPC continues to publish it as an FOB route, although the current freight charge is quote-on-request. Astara is excluded because the published caustic-soda terms remain CPT/DAP, and Lotfabad is not added because recent movement evidence does not provide a current public FOB/FCA price basis.
Price construction
Direct current FCA postings are shown unchanged where available. Other hub values are planning ranges built from current Iranian producer/market anchors, current published route charges, verified export packaging and late-August regional FOB checks. Where a route is confirmed but its current charge is published only as “Call,” the range is calibrated against comparable verified routes and must be reconfirmed before contracting.
Comparable basis
All rows are normalized to FOB or FCA under Incoterms® 2020. FOB covers delivery on board at the named port; FCA covers export-cleared handover to the buyer-nominated carrier at the stated plant, terminal or border point. Ocean freight, onward land freight and destination charges beyond that named point are excluded.

- Direct current CCPC postings checked for this snapshot are USD 630/MT FCA for NaOH flakes 98–99% in 25 kg two-ply PP bags and USD 315/MT FCA for liquid NaOH 48–50%, with liquid delivery by truck.
- CCPC currently confirms FOB Bandar Abbas, Bandar Anzali, Bandar Amirabad and Bandar Nowshahr as caustic-soda-flake routes, but its freight page now shows the port charges as “Call.” A current product-supplier schedule separately publishes USD 60/MT for Bandar Abbas and USD 40/MT each for Bandar Anzali and Bandar Amirabad.
- The same current route schedule lists FCA costs of USD 30/MT for Sarakhs and Shahid Motahari Terminal, USD 25/MT for Bazargan/Jolfa and USD 20/MT for Mehran/Shalamcheh. These charges are used as route differentials inside the corresponding planning ranges.
- Current Mahshahr product evidence supports flakes above 98% and liquid around 48%, with 25 kg moisture-resistant bags packed in 1,250 kg master jumbo bags for flakes and specialized tanker movement for liquid.
- Ramhormoz remains supported by current producer evidence for export-grade 98–99% flakes and by an active international marketplace offer at USD 470–500/MT FCA Ramhormoz for 98% flakes. Producer packaging options include 25 kg bags, 1,250 kg jumbo bags, 1,250 kg shrink-wrapped pallets and sealed drums; the priced lot’s exact packing must be confirmed.
- Late-August regional cross-checks show 98% flakes at about USD 780/MT FOB Mersin and USD 800/MT FOB Jebel Ali as of August 25, 2026. These external levels are used only as an upper-market reasonableness check and are not copied into Iranian hub rows.
- On August 27, 2026, public vessel-tracking data reported ten commodity-vessel transits through the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, up from eight the prior day but still below the 10-day moving average of fifteen. Southern FOB execution therefore remains subject to vessel space, dangerous-goods acceptance, insurance and terminal confirmation.
- All non-direct ranges are procurement-planning indications. Before contracting, confirm the COA/SDS, NaOH concentration, packing construction, quantity, named Incoterm point, carrier acceptance, inspection/document requirements and loading window.
Iran Caustic Soda Price FAQ
What is the most reliable public price anchor in this report?
The clearest direct anchors are the current CCPC FCA postings: USD 630/MT for 98–99% flakes and USD 315/MT for 48–50% liquid. Other hub rows are planning ranges unless a direct current FCA offer is explicitly available.
Why are some port prices shown as ranges?
Current public sources confirm the FOB routes, but not every port publishes an executable freight/THC figure. The ranges combine verified route evidence, current Iranian price anchors, packaging and comparable export costs, then require RFQ confirmation.
Why are liquid NaOH rows limited to production origins?
Current public route tables are primarily for caustic-soda flakes. Liquid 48–50% requires suitable chemical tankers, carrier approval and route-specific handling, so a destination-specific bulk quotation is needed.
What should a buyer specify for a firm FOB or FCA quotation?
Provide NaOH form and concentration, quantity, packing, named FOB/FCA point, destination, shipment window, inspection requirements, required documents and whether the demand is spot or recurring.
